About Mrs. Hallford

Professional Information:
Mrs. Brandi Hallford teaches 6-8th grade Choirs and General Music at Cherokee Middle School in Springfield, Missouri. She previously taught 7-12 Choirs in Andover, Kansas, 6-12 Choirs for USD 490 in El Dorado, Kansas, and K-12 Vocal Music for the Mansfield R-IV Schools in Missouri. After deciding a career in rental car was not for her, she received a B.S. in Music Education from Baptist Bible College, Springfield, MO, completing her K-12 Vocal Certification and an Instrumental Endorsement. She completed a Masters of Music Education emphasis in Vocal/Choral Pedagogy from the University of Kansas in the summer of 2019. She is currently working to achieve her Kodály secondary certification through Wichita State University. Mrs. Hallford is a 2000 graduate of Marshfield High School in Marshfield, Missouri (Go Jays!). She is currently a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA), the Kansas Music Educators Association (KMEA), the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), the Organization of American Kodály Educators (OAKE) and the American Music Literacy Association. Mrs. Hallford has been recognized as an AHS Building Master Teacher, USD490 Teacher of the Year Finalist and received a MACTE Award for Outstanding Beginning Missouri Teacher. In addition, she has been recognized at the Jester Awards for excellence in Vocal Direction from Music Theater Wichita. She maintains a private studio teaching voice and beginner piano.

Personal Information: 
Brandi has been married to Kyle since 2004. They have three daughters and three fur babies. She loves to read, shop for office supplies, and drink coffee. She also helps with the music at her church. She is a die hard Green Bay Packer fan. In their spare time the Hallfords like to watch college basketball (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!), play with their animals, and spend time as a family.
